The Marine capstan can be divided into electric capstan, hydraulic capstan and pneumatic capstan according to the driving mode.

The electric winch is driven by the motor. It is suitable for the winch with working force less than 20T. The motor can be divided into single speed, double speed, three speed, frequency conversion and so on. Large electric capstan can only choose frequency conversion motor, frequency conversion motor start will not cause impact on the power system.

The hydraulic winch is driven by the hydraulic pump station and the hydraulic motor. The hydraulic winch starts smoothly and does not cause shock to the power system. Hydraulic capstan through hydraulic proportional valve can achieve infinitely variable speed.

Pneumatic winch driven by pneumatic motor, generally not more than 20T working tension.

Horizontal capstan winch is a machine driven by a motor, it’s usually mounted on the deck in a horizontal position, and the power modes are optional according to the needs, such as electric power, hydraulic power, gas or petrol power, manual power.

The boat electic capstan is applies to rated load less than 20T and can be driven by electric motor.

Single, double , triple speeds or VFD motor are available.

VFD motor is recommended for heavy load capstan as it will not bring impact to power supply system when start.
